Lankan Appreciation Award -
Colombo, 21 May 2004
Girnar Tours receives the Sri Lankan Appreciation Award for
the Year 2004 for its productivity sales in the year 2003 -
2004 period.. A lavish ceremony was held on 21 May 2004 at
Mount Lavinia ballroom - Colombo.
Mount Lavinia hotel was originally
the residence of Sir Thomas Maitland and Sir Edward Barnes in
the colonial era.
The Function was attended by Travel Agents from several
countries in Asia and South Pacific Region.

Meeting with H.E. Shyam Saran -
Indian Ambassador to Indonesia.
In a brief meeting with His Excellency, Sri Shyam Saran in
August 2002. Mr Pahlaj Singh and Girish were able to convey
and update on tourism environment in Indonesia, where
close cultures of India and Indonesia are the key for tourism
promotion between these two countries.
A seasoned
diplomat, Saran has headed Indian missions in Mauritius from
1992 to 1997, Myanmar (1997 to 2001) and Indonesia (August
2001 to October 2002). He took over as ambassador to Nepal in
October 2002.
He was named
the Indian Foreign Secretary in June 2004. |

Annual Function November 2000 was a memorable event in the
history of Girnar Tours. This was the first time Girnar Tours
brought various participating airlines together with leading
business community to be able to interact and understand the
travel industry as such and what this industry could offer and
improve to bring mutual benefit.

Joint Training program with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines November
1997
As a betterment and improvement of
our services to our customers, Girish Sadhnani participates in
the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Fares and Ticketing program in
November 1997.
This training program was attended by various IATA travel
agencies in Indonesia.
